Thumbs up Sun August 26th - Sat September 01th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Genco Easy Aces
    Brush: C2
    Soap: Irisch Moos
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    ASB: Aqua Velva - Ice
    EDT: Davidoff Cool Water

Summer is still going strong in Vegas so any cooling effect is always welcome. There's nothing better than what I used for today's shave. The refreshing scented Irisch Moos, which btw lathers up like the dickens, the ice cooling Aqua Velva and the ever so yummy smelling Cool Water from Davidoff. A member resurrected a very old thread about my Genco Easy Aces and it reminded me that the razor hasn't been used for a very long time. I stropped it 25 linen and 50 red latigo and it was all business after that. Excellent shave with an extra BBS result.

    Last week of August. Enjoy!

    Sunday

Another one of my Sunday bedroom minimalistic shaves. Shaving like this every week is really cool. You have to be so ‘measured’ in your actions; no frisky splashing of water! Prep was just a quick splash of water, (no ‘pre-shave shower’, I shaved mid afternoon). I’m really enjoying this new strop; I really think it improved my shave tremendously; the razor’s edge felt so smooth.

Only a short post today as I am suffering from a chest cold. It's entirely possible that I'm lamenting about that a little too much. The wife appears to be pretending she doesn't care about my illness...

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: New Forest 2201
    Razor: Zebra
    Soap: Floris 89
    AS: Old Spice, Fresh Lime
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Got a nick just below the chin line, all it took was that split second of not keeping track of the angles, but no worries, it was a very nice shave anyway!

    Razor –Le Jaguar
    Brush – HESS #5
Soap – Sage & Daisy, Lemongrass -Kiwi
    AST – ALUM
    AS – HESS Sweet Pea

Just a touch up shave needed today. The glycerin soap bar lathers nicely and provides good glide. And it smells really fresh. The HESS Sweet Pea is a vintage AS from the 50s? And it has only gotten better with age.

Result: I've been away from the SOTD for a while. I've missed being a part of the SOTD, so here is my entry for the day. The Fili delivered an amazing shave as usual, and I'm still feeling intoxicated by the scent of the Absinthe scented shaving cream from Al's Shaving Products. Have an amazing day gentlemen!
