    A "double edge" day...

    - Semogue 2000,
    - The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream,
    - Merkur 34C HD + Feather blades,
    - Alum Block,
    - Thayers Original Witch Hazel,
    - The Bluebeards Revenge Post Shave Balm,
    - Davidoff Cool Water Eau de Toilette.

I felt like "double edge" today, so I just went for it...
Such an effortless shave this was, truly... BBS in no time, and the post shave treatment relaxed and re hydrated my skin.
I felt so "at ease" afterwards, if you catch my drift... This is a wonderful software, it all just clicked together so well...
    Cheers!

    Sat, Sept 1

Pre: Hot Shower, 10 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Hart 6/8" Square Tip w/ Rosewood Scales
Brush: Thiers-Issard Super Badger w/ Black Horn Handle
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
    Soap: Classic Brand Bay Rum
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: Proraso White

Think I almost have my neck down pat. I must say the change from the sink to the stand was offsetting at first but these last two weeks have been great. I don't think I can shave with a sink in front of me anymore. The puck of Classic Brand Bay Rum is almost gone so I should be starting a new puck soon.

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

I remember seeing that razor on eBay with its "two-tone" scales. It is stunning. Nice job by Max, and good to see it's being used for its intended purpose.

I just acquired my first MWF a few weeks ago. Had beginner's luck using a technique that was recommended for lathering Williams: Before jumping into the shower, put a couple of tablespoons of piping hot water on the puck, put the lid back on and let it simmer while you're enjoying your shower. When you're ready to shave, empty the water into your lather bowl, load your brush on the softened puck and start cranking. I've had really satisfying results. (Even the Williams produces incredible lather like this, believe it or not.)

I use the same technique with glycerine soaps (e.g. Mama Bear's), and it produces lots of lush lather. If you haven't tried it that way yet, give it a shot, and let us know how it turns out.

    Enjoy!
Thanks, will give it a try.

Nice find! and should be a great shaver!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
