    Prep: Hot Water Wash
    Razor: C.V. Heljestrand Mk4
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Clearly Natural Honeysuckle
    AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Stash Treatment: DAX High and Tight
    Finish: Agua Lavanda Puig

Only been to DC with the kids once. Been there many other times with the wife, before we had kids and over the last 5 years many other times for work.

This time it is just me and SWMBO to visit with Bill and Hiroko.

A wonderfully lazy/late start to an extra-long weekend. Have a great weekend, everyone!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Prep: 5k run, weights, hot shower
    Razor: 6/8 Hart
    Strop: Illinois 827
    Brush: Semogue 610
Soap: RazoRock La Famiglia Don Marco
A/S: alum block, Thayers Rose Witch Hazel, Nancy Boy Signature Aftershave Gel

Result: Fantastic Shave. One mistake where I nicked myself. I felt a little clumsy which I believe is related to the workout with weights I had just completed before the shower. On another note, I don't really care for aftershave gels, so I am trying to finish this bottle, and it seems like it's going to last forever. As for the photo, I set the razor down to throw some water on my chin for a touch-up, and I decided to take the pic. Good Friday gents!

Default Week of Aug 26 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 23mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Razor: 8/8" Dorko, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point
Honing: 30 laps on LPB Coticule w/ Dilucot + 30 laps on Maruka Asagi w/ Nagura progression
Strop: 0/0/0 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave Pegasus III Cordovan Latigo / Horsehide leather)
Soapreme: Cyril Salter " Wild Rose" Shave Creme + SRD "Bulgarian Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin + ~2 drops of lanolin
    Toner: Thayer's Rose
After Shave Splash: D.R. Harris "Pink" AS
After Shave Balm: D.R. Harris ASB
    Cologne: None
Results: A later than usual shave for me today. Wife and I are expecting our 4 nephews and niece to spend the weekend with us . To get ready for that "Monster" bash, I Opted for another Rose shave today. I don't know about you guys, but I am really liking the scent of Rose these days. The SRD Bulgarian Rose is a superb product. Coupled with the CS Rose, she delivered a super rich lather with an intoxicating scent that surrounded the den. The Dorko hadn't seen much action as of late, so I decided to take her for a spin around the stones and then straight to my face (no stropping). She took on a very keen and smooth edge and the shave was superb and enjoyable!!! .

Have a WONDERFUL Friday gentlemen . Enjoy the long weekend (for the folks in the US who celebrate Labor Day)

    Cheers,
    Robert

Other than not letting him participate regularly on SRP, that doesn't really limit Jeff, does it?

Robert, you are one brave man! Have a Great weekend with your family. Nice layout on the picture.

BTW, we nicknamed my brother 'two coats', because he is tighter than two coats of paint. If anyone could do this and save money it would be him...LOL

...Well, if Jeff's not back as himself come Tuesday, we can all guess at what really happened

Haaaaaa!! There's a fine line between brave and stupid...But seriously, we love those kids. It's was really 80% the kids' choice. It's something they've been wanting to do for a few months now...I just hadn't had gotten my weekends free enough to make it happen until now.
