It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Ever have one of those shaves that's so satisfying that you're sad when it's finished? That was today.
Pulled out the Dovo Bismarck in bone. Got this on eBay a year or so ago, and I can't remember having shaved with it before today. Was never really sure about the edge, and I haven't yet put it on the hones. Decided to try about a dozen laps on the diamond pasted strop. Two days' growth whacked. DFS/BBS in two passes with a pillow of MWF suspending the whiskers. Brut cologne to finish the job.
Have a terrific week, friends!
P.S. Just for kicks, I've tossed in pics of the entire collection, divided amongst the case and the shelf in the shave den.
