    Warm Shower, Stephan's, Warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Custom Badger by Tim
Taylor of Old Bond Street, Lemon Lime Shave Cream
JR Torrey "Old English" faux frame back, 5/8.
    12K, CrOx, .25 diamond spray, 50 felt, 50 leather
    Razorock Aluminum
    Stephan's Island Lime AS
    Vaseline for men

I have not had a really nice shave in a while. Was rushed all last week so I used a DE. Took my time today since there was no one home and the result was a relaxing, close shave. The TOBS lathered up really well and the Torrey was buttery smooth after the re-fresh.
I had a nice long weekend: Visit to the Thomas A. Edison Museum here in NJ. What an amazing place to see, I highly recommend it. Then on Saturday I drove with the wife to DC and had a really nice visit with Bill and Hiroko and did some site seeing.

Today's shave put a nice touch on the weekend.

Such a great day, I just had to share it with you.
The hand was a bit shaky at the beginning, but all was well at the end - BBS in 3 passes, and what a shave it was!

    Have a great week
Congrats on the first day of school. My oldest daughter's first day was quite trying as she grabbed onto my pant leg, started to cry and would not let go. God Bless her teacher who came over to her, spoke softly and convinced her she was going to have a good day. Now.....she is in Grad school!!

All my best to your son and your family.

    Default Top Flight Shave!

A holiday break shave, 2 days in a row I get to shave!!!

Prep: Hot Shower, pre-shave oil rub before first pass
    Soap: RazoRock Artisan
    Brush: Tweezerman pure badger
    Razor: Burrell Top Flight
Hones: King 1.2k, Norton 4/8k, Naniwa 12k, 10 laps diamond felt, 10 laps CrOx Balsa, 100 clean felt, 100 cowhide, 150 Horsehide strops.
Second Pass: Apply Rise Baby Face Shave gel generously, wet and re-apply lather, excellent slick surface
Post: Alum + Lucky Tiger Witch Hazel Splash
    AS: OBR Limes & Peppercorns
EdT: OBR Original Bay Rum Cologne

This razor restored well, honed well and shaves very well. An incredible edge. The heel is so sharp as to almost need muting. So crisp and smooth I regretted when the shave was over.

    Have a great week gentlemen!!

Happy Labor Day to my fellow Yanks.

Pulled out the 4/8 Kropp today. Honed this myself a few months back and have never been crazy about it. Failed an HHT out of the display case; I decided to give it 50 laps on the CROx strop, followed by a dozen laps on the diamond for good measure. Couple of minutes, and it was plinking the hairs audibly and consistently across the edge. The shave was pretty good. Not outstanding, but good. (Although I'd truly say that any shave with MWF is, by definition, more than just good.) Pinaud Clubman to finish. Overall, quite satisfying.

    Cheers!

Hi gents! hope every one's week is off to a good start. Finally honed up the ACUTUS yesterday - It honed up so well that I stopped at 8k (something I haven't done for a long time). The shave test today was pretty incredible considering, I managed all the ususal passes and only suffered slightly under the chin as a result. I've been a bit hit and miss lately on the finishers so I'm not sure whether or not to add to this edge. Might just go with CrO and try again. To today's menu:

Pre: Truefill & Hill preshave oil
    Soap: Trumper's Coconut oil
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird
    Brush: Thater Olivewood
    Razor: 13/16 ACUTUS
Post: Thayer's Original Witch Hazel/Trumper's Coral Skin Food.

Keep up the great work everyone!
