Default Week of September 2 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 25mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 11/16" F.W. Engels "Perfect Temper", Full Hollow Ground, Square Point
Honing (Refresh): 5 laps on CrOx leather
Strop: 8/30/50 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave Pegasus III Cordovan Latigo / Horsehide leather)
Überlather: Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Creme + Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Soap + Glycerin
    Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave Balm: eShave "Almond" ASB
    Cologne: Acca Kappa "1869" EdT
Results: I decided to go with the Acca Kappa software again today. Yeap!! it is that good. I hadn't shaved since Sunday and this gorilla face needed a nice, serious clean up . Hesitant to reach for any of my smaller blades, the "devil" on my left shoulder kept insisting I live on the edge. Given that I have a board meeting and a thick vegetation on my face, it was a BIG gamble to consider...But, tempting fate, I went for the Engels. Heck...What have I got to lose, right? The gamble paid off. The lather was luxurious, super rich and its scent intoxicatingly relaxing. Despite her small size, the Engels proved to be up for the task at hand and delivered an exceptional shave. From the way she wiped that growth, there was no mistaking the fact as to who was "BOSS". Three passes later and I am sporting a BBS face with absolutely zero irritation and 100% satisfaction. This is going to be a good day.

Have a FABULOUS Friday gentlemen .

    Cheers,
    Robert

Robert, You are the reason I have 2 of these wonderful razors! One 6/8" and one 9/16" which is out on a 'loaner' to my oldest son. Somehow I get the sneaking suspicion that I will never see her again...LOL! Great Shavers both!

Well gents, after working all night and all day yesterday, I had been awake for about 26 hours by 7:30 AM this morning. On top of it all, my boss is less than appreciative. Oh well, such is IT (long hours and managers who aren't social geniuses). I just woke up from a 4-hour sleep and feel much better. I think I'll grab a bite to eat, shave, do a few chores, and take another nap. Oh yeah, and homework.

    Today's shave:

    Razor: Kanenaga Kamisori
    Prep: Bald Frog Eucalytus Balm
    Brush: Whipped Dog Black Badger
Soap: Bald Frog Tangerine with 3 drops Kwan Loong Oil
    A/S: Joop! Homme
    Result: A great shave

Cheers! It's a sweet shaver, nice steel and very easy to shave with, I think (probably thanks to the relatively short cutting edge and wide blade ... much like a Japanese western straight) + I really like the blade design a lot.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
