Hot shower prep
Razor: Antoni Tadross >1920
Soap: Home made glycerin base
Mug: Period glass
Brush: Home made, Silvertip knot 22mm
Aftershock: Alum block
Splash: Vintage Walgreen's "BAY RUM"
A good shave today, nothing to sing about but I enjoyed it! The old razor has lost none of its edge in the weeks since last used. Home made accoutrements made it even more fun. Gotta make some Bay Rum myself!
Antoni Tadross was a New York entrepreneur and importer of fine goods in the early 20th century.
Even a home made soap can lather well. Use a good quality glycerin soap as a base add a bit of glycerin and an essential oil; then melt in a mug with a microwave. It makes a good starter and is inexpensive.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

No shave yesterday, too busy having other fun and grilling for the family, so my face was ready for a back to work early morning shave.
Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8 near wedge American Razor
Strop: Illinios 827
Cream: AOS Lavender
Brush: AOS Fine Badger
A/S: Floid Blue
Result: I shaved very early this morning, so I used this near wedge since it's so quiet, and helps me from waking my sleeping wife. It is also a great shaver which left me BBS. I simply wiped the excess cream off my face when I was done, and applied some Floid. I think that combination is what left my face feeling smooth and moisterized. Good way to start the work week.
