You're most welcome and it was a pleasure all the way (even though that Jernbolaget was my favorite, but maybe it'll come around and bite the Hellberg later ). _Never_ think you can hone, well, not until you've honed a couples of thousand razors, lol. Seriously though, I think honing's the hardest part of this art, sometimes you think you get it, but then you fall deep down and hit rock bottom once you think you've got it.

    Sat, Sept 8

Pre: Hot Shower, 10 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Hart 6/8" Square Tip w/ Rosewood Scales
Brush: Thiers-Issard Super Badger w/ Black Horn Handle
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
    Soap: SRD Opus X
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: Proraso White

Still giving the duck a rest as today I decided to start trying a double pass. As nippy as the duck can get I would rather start with my Hart. I looked at what was left of my Classic Brand Bay Rum and realized it was the remains of suds. New soap today. I decided to try one of my samples from SRD. Opus X. It kinda reminded me of walking into a head shop. I had a little trouble lathering this but I think its not really the soap. I think its more that trying to lather a chunk of soap that is about half the size of my pinky was a little daunting.

I am waiting on T&H 1805 aftershave to come in and as a tantalizer... a 6/8" near wedge that I have only just talked about buying in this post. What it is, you will see when it gets here.

Onward. I did not do a full double pass. I did do WTG and XTG on my face but gave up on the neck. Result: CCS

Now off for some espresso... curse you Mikael!

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

    Saturday, Birthday Shave.

    Soap/Creme: DR Harris Rose
    Razor: Schick Hydromagic
    Blade: Personna PFTE
    Pre: Hot Shower & Proraso
    Post: Alt-Innsbruck
Result: I went for DFS, not BBS, because I wanted to be sure it was an enjoyable shave, and really hit the mark. Everything was excellent, and not the slightest discomfort all shave.
