Razor – Russian Made in Osobaq “71”
    Brush – E-Shave badger
    Soap – Als Jubilee
    AST – ALUM
AS – Ogallala Bay Rum Limes & Peppercorn

A hot wrap and pre-soak with Musgo Glyce soap. A nice relaxed shave to start the day clean and fresh. The Ogallala provides just enough heat to let you know it’s working. Yeah. Happy Anniversary Robert, I’ve had two Regals. Stay well.

Pre shave - Hot Towel, Palmolive Shave Stick
    Razor - Weber ARC
    Blade - Astra S/S
Brush - New Forest Tubby 1 Finest
    Soap - RazoRock Mudder Focker
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ RazoRock Aftershave Wax

The N/F Finest is a tidy little brush, especially with the Mudder Focker... but my face is suffering...maybe the S/S is a little too aggressive for the Weber.. I think the S/P is more suited to it. :-/

Thank you Mike. The new Regals certainly feel and look quite different.

Special Bulletin: Two tornadoes rip through New York

I hope anyone that lives in New York (especially in Brooklyn or Queens) is safe from the ravages of the two tornadoes that hit the city hard yesterday.

Jeff: I hope you're OK buddy

It wasn't too bad further upstate. Just some tree branches down for me.

    SOTD September 9th 2012

    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Kampf ~1890's
    Soap: VDH
    Mug: Truck stop coffee mug
    Brush: Horsehair
    Aftershock: alum block
    Splash: Royall "Vetiver"

Today dawned bright and cheerful, a perfect fall day with a light wind and crisp temperatures; it is my favorite season. So without using electric lights, I took myself back a hundred years. For the trouble, I received a very close and clean feeling shave today! Alum quenched and Royall'y smoothed!

I like to dust off the old goodies from time to time. This one is a straight on a stick! Newly invented back in the 80's the old "Lather Catchers" were hard to beat when traveling! The set came with 7 blades and a honing stropping stick. This one may have had a shave stick and a few spare blades also. The box outside was a disaster but the inside has done a hundred plus years of good duty!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quickerer!

    ~Richard
