I own four Flaschners that I got in Hungary two summers ago and love them greatly. I met Kalman at his shop; what a nice guy, although he doesn't speak English nor I Hungarian. I LOVE that blade. Next time I am in Hungary I will get a 7/8 like that! Wonderful/

No pic today, as life has just not left me the time. I'm lucky to get to view the forums here lately! I am sure enjoying the money, the security and the sense of satisfaction my new job is bringing me, but I have been earning every dollar they are paying me. I haven't worked this hard in years. It's good for me, and I'm starting to get back into the swing after completing my first month and a half.

No shave since last Friday, same as Bill, and I find that a shave after letting the face rest for several days always comes out excellent. Today's was no exception and I got a fantastic, smooth shave.

Glad the job/work is going well. There are only a few things more satisfying than a nice hot shower and good shave after a days work, but we cannot discuss the others on this forum.

I agree about how letting the face rest a few days allows for a really sensational shave. Glad you enjoyed your shave.

    Enjoy the day!!

    Wednesday

An adequate, but not great, shave with the Jernbologet this morning. I hadn’t shaved yesterday and noticed some tugging this morning. I’ll need to give the edge a little more work, I think. The Mike’s natural soap lathered easily, and the scent of the soap lingered all day. I’m getting used to this scent; it’s interesting, I wasn’t sure if I really liked it at first. I splashed Bay Rum scented liquids on myself lavishly with utter disregard for modesty and reason.

Another wonderfully smooth and clean shave today with the Rosewood scaled TI. The TI carbonsong steel takes some work, but once you get a bevel set, it takes a smooth sharp edge! I think I may have developed an affinity for the Jabonman soaps, but with their performance and scent, can anyone really blame me? Today I decided was a vetiver day, so I chose the mandarin/vetiver/litsea cubea. The Chubby 2 beat the soap into a wonderful lather two passes later, I emerged from the shave den feeling like a new man. It all got topped off with some Sigilli Athunis applied with wild abandon. They will know I'm coming before I hit the courtroom doors, and they won't be able to help but be impressed with the class of this fragrance!

Thank you very much. We're doing OK. I try and concentrate on the positives. I'm not very good at it though; I just have moments of clarity where I wake up to myself and tell myself to stop being a big girls blouse. I think if you don't actually seek out the positives, you get swamped with all the negatives; and there appears to me that there is a lot of negatives.
