Cheers Carl, for a good story, about a young and brave boys take on life (and yours, which I admire as well)!

Thanks guys. I really do love all our different stories from all over the globe. This is a very unique thread on a very unique forum...

I think sometimes the stories and the places and the personalities have a little more allure for me than the shave and the gear; it's the ritual and the gear that brings us all together; what we do with that comes next.

    Carl,
Glad to hear Bailey is forging ahead. Hopefully soon, this will all be behind him.

That contraption is what they use to figure out what lens you need when you get old and require reading glasses. They slide little lenses in and out to see which are best.

I hadn't shaved since Friday. I had a good growth working, and so I wanted to make sure my kit was up to the task. I reached for the Heljestrand Mk32 for the scraping duties. The software was an easy choice: Jabonman Haitian Vetiver and it was beaten into frothy submission with the Manchurian badger Rover. Two passes plus touch ups later, and I was sticky smooth. My face felt great, but I still reached for the Lucido, which worked wonderfully. I topped it all off with some classic Pascal Morobito Or Black, and I'm ready to tackle the office!

    Default Tuesday

I certainly hope this is not a precursor to the remainder of the day!
For some reason I cannot seem to upload a picture of the razor I rescaled last night, slightly irritating but small potatoes when looked at the view through Carl's window. Great news about Bailey Carl...hope they get everything sorted out. On to todays shave, which was outstanding!
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5
    Brush: Thater 4125-2, 26mm bulb
Razor: Burrell 'Top Flight' 11/16" in white acrylic scales w/original blood red wedge
    Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion
Result: Outstanding 3 pass shave! I found a place in Cleveland on the way home from work that sells cast acrylic so I bought 2 pieces, 12" x 12" one opaque white, the other transparent red. Figured I could make a few pairs of scales, since I broke the originals on the top flight and wanted to replicate them.
It turned out fairly well, that's why I wanted to upload the pics (or it didn't happen...LOL)
