Lima-Canela shave soap provided by Bill
Wade and Butcher 10/8 Wedge, horn with brass wedge
Roo Strop by MicR, 75 laps

Vaseline for men.
Bill gave me this soap to try when I was in DC a few weeks ago. I saved it for a nice day which was today. It lathered up really well and gave the spicy aroma of clove (I think). The W&B was well behaved as always and took off the whiskers effortlessly.

Thanked: 1185Like any other consumer driven pursuit, there are certain products in the wetshaving world that come with a certain quantity of hype. Of course the advantage that we have as opposed to other consumer driven pursuits is that few of these products are completely new. As a result most hype is honestly earned through years of performance. At worst they will be really good and at best they will far surpass the hype. The Gillette Fatboy is an example of the latter. Just an epic razor that consistently delivers great shaves!
Prep: Cool Water Wash
Razor: 1960 Gillette Fatboy (set to 9)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Arko Shavestick
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Murray and Lanman's Florida Water
Result: Weekly haircut was 3 passes on the dome. Not much to shave on my face after a fantastic shave yesterday so the face was a one pass affair.
