    Mon, Sept 17

Pre: Hot Shower, 10 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Mappin Brothers 6/8" w/Ivory Scales and Barber's Notch
Brush: Thiers-Issard Super Badger w/ Black Horn Handle
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
    Soap: AoS Sandlewood and Cedar
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: Proraso White Balm

Well the time has come and I have tested the edge once more. This blade was astoundingly smooth. If all Sheffield steel is like this I am in love. I chose one pass today as I have an early morning and a long day. Switched back to Proraso for my aftershave and it has its subtle scent I have never truely placed. Happy Shaving! This is one happy customer.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Razors: 6/8 Case Red Imp 133
    Prep: Hot Water, Barbasol
    Brush: "BurmaShave" boar
Soap: Rays Of Colorado Bay Rum shave soap
    A/S: witch hazel, Chrome Balm
    Result: Reasonably good shave

Well, the Rays soap was better than last time with more water, but still not what I'm looking for. It's not a bad bath soap, though.

    Prep: Lukewarm Wash
    Razor: Wm. Elliot and Sons
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
    AS: Clubman Bay Rum
    Finish: Crusellas Sandalwood AdC
Results: Very clean 2 pass shave. The edge on this razor is still remarkable after a touch up hone on Saturday. Off work today gathering paperwork for a house loan (I think I'd rather be at work) Have fun!

Pre shave - Hot Towel, Simpson's Shave Cream
    Razor - Weber ARC
    Blade - Astra S/P
    Brush – Duke 3
    Soap - RazoRock Mudder Focker
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ RazoRock Aftershave Wax

The Weber is much better suited with the S/P on my skin....The Simpson's Shave Cream makes a fantastic Pre Shave cream, and the Mudder Focker is an absolute delight!!

Cool Nostalgic shave with an old Wilkinson Empire with the Sunday blade in. Poraso ubered up, Thater and AQV. snip..Shaved pretty good. I think I will just hone this blade and start over. If I grow to like this beast more, I will hone the others! Definitely a different shaving experience. Did not appear to be dangerous in the least!
    Have a great week, ALL!

Awesome little beasties, what? If well honed and stropped, they can be as good as a blade on a stick can get. Thanks Tom, for bringing it out of the cold!
