Richard, although I am not qualified as a doctor to perform such operations, I still like to have a go, even though my success rate so far is zero!!

Prep: Hot bath, good old scrub with the Gillette Thermal Scrub, followed by a few hot towels.
    Razor: Hamburg Ring (maker unknown)
Shave Cream: Body Shop Macca Root
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Pure Bristle
    Post Shave: Witchazel
    Aftershave: Body Shop Sport

Great shave today. 2 passes. Really learning the technique now. Still having a few nicks but that is part of the fun... I like to show off the battle scars.

Kron Vest 14 :: Kimson silvertip :: Cyril R. Salter Wild Rose ::: Dr. Harris Pink ASL

The razor is a Spanish huge blade, Full Hollow, simmilar to well knowns filarmonica 14, but different company. Founded NOS in a cutlery, I couldn't resist to bring this beauty home. The poor storage conditions let the blade not as clean as a New Blade and the seller, with no experience with straights, close the blade badly (the scales were not centered) and give it a little nick :-( ... Minor problems for an specialist in restorations , but for me it was a challenge... Finally I repaired the scales, removed the nick and polished the blade, now I have a great razor with me.

You were practically here. Should have stopped by!
