Honed up my NOS 13/16 Puma 89 this morning. It took a beautiful edge and what a buttery smooth shave! I usually prefer heavier grind razors, but this full hollow is truly exceptional.

An after midnight shave, so technically Saturday. I don't know whether it was the amount of shochu I had earlier at the Japanese restaurant, that made me forget about my hot water prep, or whether it was the fact that I had the LaToja lather way too thick, or whether the Cocodrilo is finally ready for a touch-up, but the shave was "okay" at best.
Amazing shaves this week gentlemen. Highly enjoyed them.
I've not heard of a Cocodrilo razor before. Judging from the coffin, I assume it's a Spanish razor. How is it?

I've been absent with my posts for a few days as my laptop has been temperamental recently..... and I haven't shaved since Thursday. I'll get around to it on Monday.

Anyway, no shave for me today as I went for a hike. Here's a picture from it. If you click the link, give it some time as it's a 2mb file.

    SATURDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Henckles “WOTAN”
    Soap: Nivea Cream
    Mug: Cheap set
    Brush: Grey badger
    Aftershock: none
    Splash: Benneton Essence of Man
The Day: Cold: -20ºC. The Shave: Close and relatively smooth for couple months since honing. Nivea is great for these super cold dry days.

It's been some time since my last post here, but don't worry, I'm not gone, and I have shaved...... but the new job, and life in general have kept me quite busy lately and I haven't had the time to be around as much as I use to.
Today I had the time to take a long hot shower, and enjoy a slow and wonderful shave, now I'm off to cook dinner, the missus and I are going to spend a quiet saturday evening with good food and drinks and eachothers company.

The Cocodrilo brand is thought to be from Ferdinand Herberz in Solingen. He produced different brands, among which Palmera, Cocodrilo, Barcelona, El Plumero, etc. These were probably destined for the Spanish market. The box is in spanish, and I bought this razor NOS from a guy in Spain.

The blade is the best of any #14 I have shaved with. It is on par (if not better than) with my Filarmonica 14's and the Henckels 14 that i have. Very nice "singing" blade and every shave is a delight.

It looks sweet! I just bought a couple of Palmeras from eBay myself. I'm looking forward to shaving with them. One of the Spanish razors I've been on the lookout for is Iberia. I assume it's on par with Filly, and other Spanish steel blades. If you have a guy in Spain looking to sell more 14s, PM me!
