    Incredible Shaves to-day, Men!

First shave with this really old German blade after a somewhat lengthy restoration and strictly natural honing progression. It has the immistakable sound of old crucible steel on the hones and strop and truly shaves amazingly!
    A "Home Run"!

Get out there and make it happen next week, Gents! It's YOUR turn!

What a start to the week! First we were greeted with 15 cm of snow that had fallen overnight and a bright blue sky with tons of sunshine all day long!

I spent some good quality time with the girls on the swings, building a snow-man and generally just powdering each other with the fresh snow.
Later we all went for a good walk in the nearby forest.
    What a day!

The shave today was excellent. The Belgian cleaver always is a pleasure to use and I'm glad and proud I scooped that off the Bay when I did last year.

Have a great week Gentlemen. Mine is already a winner just from today. When we returned, we had a nice couple of hours in front of the fireplace and now that the kids have gone to bed, that's where I'm typing these words, lounging on the Fatboy.

Damn life can be good sometimes.

Today's shave was welcome after a long, cold 48 hrs of snow and wind. Nemo dropped about a foot of snow here. Some in NY,CT and Mass really got hammered. I hope all are ok.

    Hot shower, warm oil
    Dirty Bird scuttle
    Custom Badger brush
    TOBS Almond shave cream
Wade and Butcher Celebrated, 5/8 full hollow
    SRD P1 strop, 50 felt, 50 leather
    Razorock aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Rum
    Vaseline for Men

My first vintage razor always gives a great shave. The edge is dialed in and cut through a three day growth with no issue.

    Sunday, February 10

Pre: Hot Shower, Nivea Face Wash, Nivea Face Scrub
    Soap: MWF
Brush: Vie Long 2012 LE Butterscotch Horse Hair
    Scuttle: SWK XL
    Strop: Linen x 30, Russian x 30, Tony Miller "Old No. 2" x 20
Razor: W&B c.a. 1850 "Purple Sparkle" Max Sprecher Restoration
    Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Post: Nivea Post Shave Balm
    Cologne: Armani Code Ultimate

Had a 15 hour day in the O.R. Friday, so had a 2+ day growth. Spent some time in the wood shop working on a palm bowl/brush set. Had a nice long shower followed by a relaxing three pass shave. Best of Depeche Mode playing in the background, nice big scuttle full of MWF, and one of my favorite razors. Max did this one for me in honor of my youngest daughter, who happens to love "purple sparkles." It's just a great old Sheffield blade.

Great SOTD's to start the week. I hope all my friends in the NE are safe and sound. Have a great week everyone!

I wanna know how you did that what looks like a red fade on that blade in the 3rd image.
