The Shave..ah the shave great, back to my roots! Little Rusky has held a good edge and shaves very well. I forgot about Witch Hazel and so I tried it again today. Meh!

Hot shower prep
Pre: Truefitt & Hill pre-shave oil
Razor: Dovo 5/8 1/2 Hollow Best Quality
Cream: Acqua di Parma + glycerine
Scuttle: G20
Brush: Crowley & Tosh Silvertip Badger
Tighten-up: alum block
Aftershave: Acqua di Parma Aftershave Balm
My goal with this shave was to do two passes, with one ear to ear horizontal sweep across the jawline from right to left (I've found that this horseshoe pass is necessary to clean up some whiskers that just don't seem to go away after a WTG and ATG pass.). At the end, I was to live with the results, not continue to rub and fuss looking for spots I missed. This allowed me to really concentrate on making complete, efficient passes. Worked great. The only spot I missed was under my nostril, right up in the corner, though it's mostly invisible. And I had to compropmise on one thing -- my upper lip. I still can't go ATG, so the pass after the WTG had to be a XTG. This was my most efficient, shortest shave yet.
Cheers,
Jack

Nothing like a shave to treat the blues. The 1438 is a stubby little fella but it gets the job done. All the other players were great. From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place
