    THURSDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Sendyk’s Special
    Soap: Super-Max
    Mug: English
    Brush: Home made
    Aftershock:none
    Splash: Bay Rum
The Shave: Easy and smooth in two passes. The weather here makes lathering a real hassle no matter what soap or cream is used. Good shave no regrets!

The Day: Overcast and another three inches of partly cloudy overnight -2ºC.

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

I'm making that €0.65 stick go as far as it can.

I reckon I'll use it for the last time on Saturday and then throw the end into a tin that already has a couple of Palmolive sticks grated inside.

I love this picture. Though, for the first second or so that I look at it, I see crosshairs in the middle.

    Cheers,

    Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Truefitt & Hill Pre-shave Oil
    Razor: Kanenaga Kamisori
    Cream: Acqua di Parma
Brush: Crowley & Tosh Silvertip Badger
    Tighten-up: alum block
Aftershave: Acqua di Parma After Shave Balm
    Result: Not bad at all

I've found that this kamisori is best when I use it to follow up a previous day's very close shave. When I've used it on, say, a 3 day beard, it makes it, but takes many more strokes, like adding an entire pass. This morning it led me through an efficient two-pass shave. There is noticeable irritation that I don't have with my other straights, but nothing I would characterize as a flaw in honing or stropping (the alum block confirms that it leaves my face a bit more tender). My suspect is the heal. It's very sharp, crisp point that I think digs in a bit. I have the impression that it could use some subtle rounding.

    Cheers,

    Jack

Good Shave! Loving the paddle strop. Plus, it was not as expensive as the TI paddle.
