I love Trafalgar too, I love the citrussy scent. The nice square heel on the razor would make beard trimming easy! Nice looking razor!

That shave cream isn't palmolive Carl. That one is made locally here in Brisbane. It used to be called 'Mennon Shave'. It isn't the best, but it's better than a few of the more expensive ones I've tried in the past. I carry a tube in my toiletry bag and have a tube with my gear at the family farm. A good standby cream to have on hand.

Actually I was thinking I was wrong on that. I really like the scent. I'd like to work with it and see how good I can make it. I tried it with some glycerine the other day which improved it. I'm now thinking coconut oil of some kind???

I find it is fussy with the amount of water it likes to come good. Get the quantity just right, and it's a great cream. I have used it with glycerine as well, and found it improved somewhat with that. Haven't tried anything else with it. Mostly I use it by itself.

Hey Mick, did you mean "Mennen"? Have seen it local, and keen to try it, the tag at the supermarket says Mennen, but brand name is Palmolive.

Yeah, the water is definitely the thing with this one. This cream and that green Palmolive was all they sold in the canteen at Kapooka, so it conjures up memories...

I stand corrected. I was going to add a question mark in brackets after the name, but I was 99% sure I was right this time . However, the stuff that is in Carl's picture is definately a local product.

Google Faulding shave cream and you find it's the same one, made in Brisbane.
They seem to leave Faulding off the box and tube these days and i find it works best if you make a lather on your face with it.
