Thanked: 485Thursday, they tell me.
Day broke golden and clean with all the birds mentioning it, from the magpie to the rooster.
I saw at first the light and the lack of light.
I saw the truck and the car and the lady dog walker as I transitioned from house to car.
I saw the look on the face of the cop with the speed gun,
(I am unsure if he saw my face)
I saw a crow hovering almost still over a small eucalypt.
I saw the creek that I thought would be dry still water-full.
I saw the rocks I want to climb just sitting there being rocks.
I saw a guy with a sign saying Stop on one side and Slow on the other waving to me and wondered why he waved to me;
Maybe he wanted to feel included?
I saw the broken down car with the wheels removed, up on bricks, looking almost representative of cars with stolen wheels.
Representing them all for a cause.
I saw all those clouds,
all of them,
lording it over us all,
as if they're special.
As if they are special.
Yes, a recycled photo. :-)

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Not been feeling too good again so sat at home. Couldn't resist getting a shave - I'm glad I did! Face feels really good.

Prep: Shower
Scuttle: Schwarzweisskeramik
Brush: Thater 4125/00 2-band Fan
Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
Razor: Breidora 26 5/8" Full Hollow
Aftershave: TOBS No.74 Victorian Lime
Notes: Quick WTG/XTG 1-pass shave. Very good razor and an acceptably close shave.
Perhaps I don't wet it enough, but I do find that TOBS Jermyn Street cream dries a little quick.

03-14-2013, 02:01 PM #150Today's shave was a special one. I recieved this razor as a gift for standing at my Father's side as he Wed his Love. Upon recieving the razor I was so excited, yet knew I had a job ahead of me. It was in poor shape, and the scales were broken and flea bitten. I had hoped to do the restoration myself, but due to Work schedule, Family and other time constraints, I decided it best to have it refurbished.
The results are Paramount, and the shave with it was glorious! A treasured heirloom that I hope will last for generations.
Razor: 8/8 Wade & Butcher FBU wedge
Soap: Mystic Water Lily of the valley
Strop: Post shave only. Scrupleworks Horween/Linen 20/20
Brush: SRP Thater 2 band w/ Fan knot
Astringent: Thayers Lavender
Aftershave: Floid Blue
EDT: Thallium Paris

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.
