Thanks! I'm honestly not sure what you'd call the style, but it's a crushable wool hat by Stetson. Somewhere between a '50s fedora style and a cowboy hat I suppose. I got it mostly to keep rain off my glasses as I despise umbrellas. I have never liked umbrellas personally, but six years as a taller-than-average grad student in St Andrews (where those huge %^&$%#! golf umbrellas are de rigeur) meant six years of near constant fear for having my eyes jabbed out by those pointy bits. Can't stand the things.

I've had it for about five years now so I'm sure the style is no longer available, but there are some close here: Stetson Cowboy Hats - Collections - The Standard In Western Hats

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Ta. I'll check out the site. I quite like umbrellas, I think they are very gentlemanly. Not golf umbrellas, goodness no, nice black umbrellas with wooden handles...
