If there's an airport nearby you could take up flying so you could occasionally get above the clouds so you can feel "as if" your showing them who's boss.
But I think I get it...As our bodies age and cooperates less and less it tries to force limitations on us that we're not ready to accept.

I'm not really sure WHAT I meant by that last bit. Often clouds seem so ominous, but other times so ethereal. Clouds are so spiritual, so 'angelic' so better than us. I was going to use the line 'I saw all the clouds', but I wanted to use 'those' clouds to demonstrate a link of agreement between what I was saying and what the reader was reading. Just like you'd say "Look at all those dickheads over there" to someone, knowing that he would also see them as dickheads; you'd say that to someone who you knew would share your feelings. So I said 'those' clouds, as in, YOU know what I mean when I said THOSE clouds...And then the next bit demonstrates a bit of resentment aimed at the clouds. I also like my change from 'they're special' to 'they are special'; it changes the cadence.

Actually, I know I'm being really self serving now, but I also like a lot of other lines, I like the first line, 'cause birds DO mention it, at first. They DO start of sort of talking quietly about the morning, almost grumbling a little until they then move to the whole full on singing bit.

I like the second line, because I've been noticing the change in light these mornings, the move to darker mornings as autumn arrives, which is why I noticed 'the lack of light'.

I DID see the look on the face of the cop, and I think he saw my face (though I'm not sure) I was speeding slightly (about 58 in a 50) and was sure I was going to get done for it, but he didn't stop me; maybe he recognised my genuine dismay?

Thanks for commenting on the poem.

Hot Shower, 1960 Gillette Fatboy, Semogue 1305, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Aqua Velva Classic, Ge'au Pour Hommes, Dax High and Tight

I dearly love every razor I own but three passes with a Fatboy slammed to 9 is a tough shave to beat with anything
