    This is exactly the right thing for a little more excitement. The adder has bitten me today. A micro-second inattentive. Zack!

    Good morning y'all! I didn't get a chance to post my SOTD yesterday because I had to be on the road by 0 dark 30. Suffice it to say yesterday's shave was merely ok.

    Today's shave, on the other hand, was great! Broke out some of my favorite shave gear to finish the week strong!

    Prep - hot shower
    Soap - AdiP
    Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2, Manchurian in butterscotch
    Razor - Fili Novodur 14
    Post - cold water, alum, Kiehl's lotion
    EDT - Atelier Cologne, Vetiver Fatal

    Thanks for the great pics this week! If any if y'all are going to be at the get together in Houston this Sunday, I'll see you there!

    Result: I picked up an old term with a new application from ojinsa, so yes, this was a chingaso free shave, and a good start to what should be a good day. Hope yours is as well.
    Ah yes, the chingaso free shave...as you can imagine, chingaso has many applications, most of them involve one type of wound or another...

    FRIDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Schick M-1 Adjustable (other numbers also)
    Blade: (Schick)Chinese Injector
    Soap: Al’s Bomb “Calypso”
    Mug: soup cup
    Brush: LIDER Boar or Horsehair(Turkey)
    Aftershock: Alum Block
    Splash: None needed

    The Day? Beautiful and -13ºC The Shave? A very close shave with a new Chinese Blade. This razor on setting 3 is the equivalent of a 1912 Gem as being really aggressive. My face is polished!! The “Lider” Brush is a big soft delight!
    The razor was developed for use with a double laminated injector blade but also works well with a regular injector blade.
    The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    [QUOTE=gooser;1130221]multi razor shave today ..

    pre=shower
    soap= SRD Vanilla Bourbon
    brush= Thater finest badger
    razor(s)
    1)Packwood 6/8
    2) Greaves 11/16
    3)John Elliot 1"
    4) Gillette Slim / yellow 7oclock
    results = all the straights were takin up to 1k so i figured id try to finish them on the new coticule ... all 3 left smooth skin but also all 3 tugged a bit so back to the drawing board ...lol... finished up with the slim where i left off with the straights ending in a smooth but not BBS 1 pass ...

    Now, who do I report Gooser to !!
    He's gone and loaded 3 straight razors & a DE into his SOTD photo. He's just trying to show off his collection. I bet if he had a dang wide angle lense, he could have gotten that new coticule of his in the photo too.

    I think I will have to try out an injector razor some day. They look interesting.

    Pre: Hot Shower, 20 Linen, 20 Leather
    Razor: Hart 6/8" w/Rosewood
    Brush: TI Super Badger w/ Black Horn
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
    Soap/Cream: TOBS Lavender
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: T&H Traflagar

    Well this shave was the last with Lavender. The puck got small enough that it wont stick in the Dirty Bird Bowl anymore. So it is time to make it a bath soap till it is dead. Replaced it with TOBS sandalwood. The next few shaves will be in Florida so it will be Shavettes and samples. Got some Trumpers cream samples I got at the STL Meetup that I am bringing with me.
    Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
