Prep: Shower
Brush: Thater 4125/00 2-band Fan
Razor: Dumas Aine 11/16" tailless, near wedge
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Astringent: Osma Alum
Moisturiser: E45
Eau de Toilette: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
Notes: A short hiatus and a good shave. Razor wasn't as keen as I'd like but somehow managed to get a very close shave without irritation. An experience I find typical with the thicker grinds.
The razor I had spent forever trying to hone. It was one of the first old French ones I'd bought and very difficult to get a consistently sharp bevel that reached the edge. Still not perfect, but good enough for now.

Todays armaments...
Pre : Hot water
Brush : Men-U synthetic
Soap : Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor : Unbranded brass open comb travel razor
Blade : Feather
Post : Nivea moisturising balm
Finish : BBS
Comments :
The Men-U did perform well, having gotten used to lathering the MWF with my Vulfix, but it didn't carry the lather well. I would've blamed the soap, had I not got a badger/boar brush for comparison. If only it didn't shed so much and so often.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...
