A pretty good shave today but I have given myself some irritation on my neck. I might skip shaving tomorrow to let it clear up.

Sorry for all that, got on a roll... :-)

    Razor: Frederick Reynolds <1890

    Brush: Reknot Mixed badger
    Aftershock: Alum block

The Day? Awaiting a spring partly cloudy Sleet and 3 days of snow in the forecast. The Shave? Simple, close and pleasant! A nice old blade, took some work but it repays it well.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Brush: AOS Fine Badger
Soap: RazoRock La Famiglia, Don Marco
    Strop: SRD Prem I
    Razor: Hart 6/8
Post Shave: Alum Block, Thayers Rose Witch Hazel, Floid Blue

Result: Wow, I have been too busy lately to post anything on this site, and I am thankful for the business. Great shave with this Hart, as always, even when it needs a touch-up, which, right now, it does not. Now, back to work. You all have a great Tuesday.

Pre : Hot water, Kiehl's facial fuel
    Soap : Arko stick
Brush : Turkish "No. 6" horsehair
Razor : Gillette Superspeed flare tip
    Blade : Feather
    Post : Nivea moisturising balm

    Finish : BBS

    Comments :
The brush is a cheapie, bought from bestshave.net, and feels as though it'll deliver. Strong smelling soaps are needed for the test lathers though, as the brand new wet brush is a tad... pungent. It was first washed with some Vosene shampoo. I've just spent a good half-hour giving if the works, with Palmolive cream, Proraso soap, and Mitchell's Wool Fat, and am happy to say it performs well with these three. Also, as yet it's shed less than the Vulfix 404.
The Arko soap was bought from the same website, simply because I felt bad just buying the brush alone. Its scent is, er... unique, not as unpleasant as the stick of Erasmic I had to use once, but odd enough to warrant the soap being the first candidate for grating into a sealable container. If it weren't for the fact that it lathers up brilliantly, the stick would be languishing in the rubbish bin.
