    Soap: VdH
    Mug: Coffee and soup
    Brush: Col Conk badger
    Aftershock: none needed

    Lazy but effective shave this morning. Enjoyed every bit of the shave moment.
    From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

    Prep: 26 mile bike ride (okay, that's not really prep for a shave, but that's what I did)
    Prep for shave: Face lathered some C.O. Bigelow, aka Proraso with an AOS fine badger brush
    Razor: 5/8 Wosty Pipe
    A/S: Pinaud Clubman

    Result: This was a quick afternoon one pass WTG shave, and back to work. Take a look at the Pinaud. I think I have one splash left, so I'll use it tomorrow morning, which will be a super early shave as I have a 6:05 a.m. flight to catch, which, BTW, is one of the reasons for today's late-in-the-day one pass WTG shave, if that makes any sense. Anyhow, you all have a great Wednesday!

    Thanks Jean,
    I really like the large blades and especially smiling blades.

    Unfortunately, very rarely do you get this straight razor. There are typical french knife with a properly hardened steel. Really nice.
    Sorry for my bad english. I hope you understand.
    Yes, I get the drift. :-) It does indeed seem very rare. I scoured the internet last night for maybe 1/2 an hour and couldn't find one reference at all to the razor, only the knifes :-)

    overcast day full of off and on sprinkles , as i went to get in the shower it was a down pour with lightning/thunder , i had my bedroom window open abd my bedroom is across from the bathroom so i enjoyed a cool shower followed by a shave to the sound of rain and a nice cool flow of air ..

    pre= shower
    cream= QCS " Briar "
    brush= antler handled silvertip
    razor(s)
    1) Shumate " Ben-Hur "
    2) Super Speed
    result=== the shumate was a good shaver to start but it was plucked from the others as my hand was drawn to it for hone from bevel to finish on my coticule bout .. im kinda excited i can feel a difference from stones now as this bout seems to be a bit on the crisp or keen side id say after finishing on water , a good shave but just not as smooth feeling as the blades that have come off my other coticule ... but very effective !!
    i feel im just under where i should be on getting the maximum out of my new coticule honing passion but the shaves feel good to me and i know in time it will come !!
