    Carl,
I myself learned the same lesson on New Years. Despite all our denials and bravado about becoming experienced citizens, the inescapable facts are these: 1. Hangovers hurt a bunch more than they used to. 2. We're simply not as bulletproof as we once were.

Sounds like you had a great birthday though. I think you should call in sick today. Have a pot of coffee and some greasy bacon and eggs and go back to bed.

After not shaving on Saturday or Sunday, the shave today was excellent. Two passes and super smooth.

    MONDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Wapi
    Soap: D’AMARIS
    Mug: Staffordshire
    Brush: Vintage Barbershop Boar
    Aftershock: none needed
    Splash: Royall Vetiver

The Day? Cold and blustery, 0ºC. The shave? close and clean in two and a touch. The little Wapi proved again that size, in this case, does not matter. The D’amaris is a good if light shave cream and does not let the face get raw. The Royall Vetiver is the Americas product and not the differently scented European splash.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
