    Good morning,

No time for straight razor shave, but somehow, it was a special shave. Today my youngest son is babtised!

The following joke a German friend posted at my facebook-site:
    Question:
How do you call Bachs' choral "O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden" ("O Sacred Head, Now Wounded")?
    Answer:
The lament of wet shaving persons

A late afternoon shave in my room, a glass of wine, jazz on the music player, two table lamps, purple velvet curtains, a Swedish razor, a linen and English bridal strop, Madame Scodioli’s ‘Step Right Up’ soap and lotion, a cut.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Rudy V
    Razor: Weltmeister by Otto Busch
    Soap: Provence Santé
    AS: Blue Floid
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Uberclean

I think this was the best shave I've had with a small blade. Excellent razor, but you do have to get the angle right when shaving with a razor like this one. Nice blade, the blueing is excellent and the wear close to nothing, but the blade had some pitting and I had to remove some steel to get it clean enough and the lovely "Weltmeister" etching vanished (doesn't stick very well to start with though ).

It all sounded so good until the end...
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
