Razor |De Pews | Soap | Mike’s Natural Pine and Cedarwood | After Shave | Tabac
I opted for the De Pews this morning; having had a close shave late yesterday arvo. Not BAD, but not good. I think I STILL need to tackle this edge; will I EVER get it right??
Soap was iffy too…

Pre : Hot water, Kiehl's facial wash
Soap : Tabac
Brush : Turkish "No.6"
Razor : Personna (replaced by Gillette old type shortly after)
Blade : Feather
Post : Cold water, Proraso pre-post cream, Nivea moisturising balm
Finish : BBS
Comments :
About three WTG passes in, I realised the Personna was just gliding over the lather, and that I'd need to put some pressure on the razor... no thanks. The Gillette old type was brought into play, which had no problems with the Tabac lather adorning my face. The Personna razor might just end up as a display item, especially if it gets clogged up with lather *that* easily.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...

Thanked: 1072Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: Silvertip Badger In Cocobolo
Soap: MWF
Razor: The Bastard II (File Razor)
Astringent: Thayer's Cucumber W/H
Balm: Nivea
A/S: Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum
After spending some time over the weekend working on a new razor, I felt like giving this one a run tonight.
It did well against 4-5 days of beard growth, leaving me damn smooth after 2 passes.
I really like the cucumber Witch Hazel. It would have to be my favorite of all the Thayer's products.
Thanks for the posts and pics boys
