This razor sounds very nice. No idea why I so rarely use this ...?
But! The scales were my first self-made and are absolutely bad.

Thanked: 21Home of the free because of the brave. I love all the SOTD posts but it warms my heart that so many people can take the few seconds out of their day to recognize those of us past and present that served or serve. Uncle was prior service Coast guard Grandfather(rest his soul..who am I kidding at 95 I couldn't keep up with him) WWII Army Ranger and myself 17years as of two days ago in the Coast Guard. Keep up the amazing pictures.

I just got a mint Oster Model B the other day. I haven't tried using them yet but have found that they are made for right handed use and that can create issues. I have used other brands on my sideburns and goatee and they are a trip to use. Left handed in the mirror etc. I recommend to go for it. Your hair will always grow back. At least if you are young!

Thanked: 485Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Bit of a pointless shave, this morning, really. Not because I was headed for the gallows (and therefore there was no need to shave really) or was as depressed as Lord Byron drinking gin, or because I lacked the muse and could no longer write, or lacked the sap and could no longer make love, or because I’d just seen the last bee on the planet die (and all life would cease in eight years' time) or because I’d seen a million starving people and there was no food, or because I saw a greedy man walking past a million starving people and he said there was no food, or a rich man with his oil in the sea and his pollution in the air, or because my best hound had just died (and I loved her), or the summer was coming to an end and I already missed it and was only nineteen, or any of that, but because yesterday afternoon’s shave was so close that really, this particular shave was quite pointless.

There are a lot of ways to be unhappy, but only a few for a good shave.
Your pointless shave brought me a smile and give us a beautiful picture. Thank you Carl!
I am glad that you like the knife and the picture!>Jean

Here in the United States, today is Memorial Day. It is a day for rememberance. It is a day for honoring those who came before us and in modern times has become an important day for remembering more than anything else those who have given their last full measure of devotion to our country. My shave honors that sacrifice. It also is a reminder that 20 years ago this week I joined the profession of arms when I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Many of my classmates are ending their military careers through retirement. Some have ended their military careers by making the ultimate sacrifice for their country. They truly embody the motto: Duty, Honor, Country.
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
