No shave for me today as I had a doctors appointment. My knee is still giving me trouble so I've been referred for physiotherapy.

Hopefully that will help, as we have had some great weather recently and I am feeling pretty shitty that I haven't been able to hike in it.

    Hope the physio helps Keith.
And if you'd like, you can have some of our Melbourne weather, it was cold and rainy here today if that makes you feel any better :P

    Shaving While Traveling, Once Again

    • Pre-shave: 3P Pre-Post Shave Cream
    • Soap: Valobra Shaving Cream Almond Scent
    • Brush: Omega 48 Bristle Brush
    • Razor: Mastro Livi Damasteel, 7/8 Full Hollow, Mastro Livi Point, Indigo Buckeye Burl Scales
    • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
    • After Shave: Floïd The Genuine Orange After Shave

I know, this week I am posting pictures of the same equipment, but I am traveling and this is the set I took with me at this time. Luxury equipment because of the Mastro Livi razor as I am testing it and want to see how many shaves I can get from this amazingly wonderful razor before honing or passing it on the chromium oxide. The extra item is the shaving cream, the excellent Valobra which I bought this morning. Truly excellent soap!

Gillette 1969 O2 Super Adjustable "Black Beauty" razor - Feather blade - generic silvertip badger brush - L'Occitane CADE sc - cold water splash - Truefitt & Hill 1805 asb - shower - LaLique White Edt

After 12 hours of taxi's and planes, I'm HOME! Aaaaah, the shear delight of finding TWO packages from the Bay waiting for me. The shave with the toggle razor had gotten me hungry for more... I simply HAD to have this Birth-year razor. Following the good advice of forum people about getting a sample pack of blades, that's what I did and in full anticipation put the meanest in. Feather blade, Gillette "slammed to 9" as the old G.I. would say.

The Nemiroff is a drinkable souvenir from the Russian Federation. It's very commercial vodka, but still, I like it. Thank you gents for opening up my eyes to this new, dark world of shaving. It's AWESOME. The Feather blade is absolutely all that you folks say it is: Shaaaaaaaaaarrrrpppp. Holy cow! I needed NO pressure at all and this thing took away the toughest growth under the chin with zero effort. I had a serious paradigm shift today. This kind of shaving may actually grow on me...
My natural instinct on such a terrific shave would be the Pinaud Clubman, but the misses doesn't dig it. Having been nearly a week away from home, I could very well be in for a treat from the misses, so I chose win-win. LaLique white is a good second choice and it will ensure the road to the treat is not blocked.
