    Wednesday

So, tell me. Who here is 'over' people? I tell you what, apart from present company and one of my sons the rest can just go and get {*&*ed}.

I'm finding people rude, STUPID, arrogant and moronic.

On a lighter note, the shave was cool and I think I broke some sort of record for the smallest amount of shaving cream used in a shave. I did take photos of the tiny amount of cream used (yes, I did) but they are blurry and not worthy of being posted, so you'll have to get by on just the standard SOTD photo which, (as the observant may have noted) have taken on a close up B&W slant lately. Maybe I've taken a close up B&W slant in regards to my observations on life lately (maybe a mid winter thing). You know, close up observations, reading about existentialism, morality, pondering God, one's relationship with God (and if it's time to start being good and stop worrying about one's physical nature) wondering why one sees so many dead bees lately (it's the garden sprays; all life will end 8 years after the last bee dies) wondering about why I feel so sad for that bird left squirming on the side of the road after the truck that hit it passed, wondering why I love the light in the morning and I love the light in the evening but just want to be warmed and heated and tanned by the sun in the daytime (i.e. the look of mid day light is, umm, boring) why I don't really know who I am and what I am and if I care, wondering if I found out if I had cancer tomorrow I'd be happy or sad (the world is pretty {*&*ed} up as far as I can tell) and why sometimes I just like to be sad.

It's interesting to note, possibly, that that paragraph started with 'on a lighter note' and then rapidly got rather gothic. 'Gothic' is a very good modern descriptive term, I think. It says a lot. I like words that say a lot. Some words say nothing. Some punch above their weight. 'It' punches above its weight. 'I' does too. 'Thou' punches at a greater force than 'It', and equal (maybe) with 'I'. Actually (as Martin Buber would maybe attest) the only words needed are 'I', 'It' and 'Thou'.

Some sights punch above their weight too. The moon does, either when high in the sky or low. The sun does, but only when low. As stated above, a mid day sun is boring. Tell me when (other than in a eclipse) a mid day sun has been interesting? See? it's not. Down low, yeah, it's cool, at 11:34? Boring. However, at 11:34 the moon is interesting. It's interesting because you equate the moon with night. But then you look up (in the Mojave desert, or on Sunset strip, or on the Thames in (on?) a punt or in the main street of Mount Torrens) and say "Wow". "The moon in the daytime looks really cool, because I sort of equate the moon with the night time, I really only expect to see the moon at night but there it is". It's happened many times. You know you'll see the moon during the day, but still it's interesting. Or is it just me?

Carl, this is a peach. A breeding, more recently everywhere here in Europe in the greengrocers.
I think this is a subtle reference to the result of shaving.

    For (goodness) sakes!

The wife just said "It's our anniversary tomorrow, do you know that?"

I did but I didn't (you know what I mean).

I've got nothing for her and done nothing, 26 years!

Should I just make love to her and ask her to count her blessings or what? (i.e put the onus on her to be thankful for and praise me)...

I think that might be a good way to not make it to 27.

Nooooo... That's never a peach! Why is it so flat? Have you ever heard of a woman's, um, bottom referred to as a peach? This would never do!
