So I toss out some chump change on a razor I thought I had no chance of winning on the Bay, and I snagged it. Prior to this win I 'promised' my ladyfriend, 'no more razors.' I have enough...really....but she is going to be the one to find the USPS white box in the mail and I need some creative excuses for not exactly telling the truth, or more accurately, telling a boldface lie.

Easy. Tell her you made the purchase prior to your promise. If the time between promise and purchase is/feels too large, tell her the seller was away and didn't ship until later. It's for her own good.

Yep, I work and we split costs 50-50, but she is encouraging me to save for moving among other things and frankly, I am not a saver....so some of my discretionary income is supposed to go towards our future....a place where I don't live.

Do you have a job? or doe's your lady support you 100% financially.
If she do's you have to lie,if not,why do you need to explaine anything?

Go right now & put yourself in the Services Section for honing in Rockville.
When the razor arrives, tell her that the "Honing Test Mentor, Hirlau" sent you that razor to test your honing skills; if you pass( and you will ) then Hirlau will allow you to receive other razors to hone for beginners. Tell her you will be making $20.00 a razor & think of all the things she can buy with just a few razors honed.

Well you lied once so why stop there? Tell her what it cost and then tell her it's worth 10x that amount so it's a great investment you will be able to sell a few years from now and pocket some cash on it.
