I hate to be a "razor whore", but I think it's whichever one I just used successfully that is my favorite.

As a real life example, of the five I have in my rotation, my original 1980s Hoffitz 5/8 is the one I've had the most success with, BUT, after my recent bout of Hone, Strop and paste/spray acquisition disorder, I am now equipped to refresh my razors.

I immediately touched up my Hoffritz with my new Naniwa 12k and then CrOx, and after stropping, shaved with it and it was a hit and clearly still #1... at least UNTIL I got the SRD modular paddle strop with Diamond spray, and yesterday I put the other 4 through a Diamond spray on felt, CrOx on another felt, rough leather, smooth leather stropping routine. When I picked up my Boker 6/8 Silver Steel today and shaved, it was a heavenly experience and it is clearly now my favorite...probably until I hit the next one in rotation, a Dovo Prima Klang tomorrow.

Oh well, I'll just have to admit I'm not monogamous when it comes to razors.
