Thread: Anyone have just 1?

I had one for the first two months or so. I was too scared to shave with it for the first month. Then I was learning to shave for the second month. Then I went shopping and have not stopped.

I have Five but only use two on a regular basis, thinking of selling two and giving one away to a newb.

Saying you have 1 razor is like saying you saw Sasquatch. May be true, but I want proof :<0)

What? Everyone knows it's impossible to have just one straight! You have to have one for each day of the week, a couple for travel, those special ones you only use on holidays, some spares, couple more spares, and the list goes on.

I had only 2 shave ready razors for over a month at the back end of last year, now I have about 8 shave ready ones, maybe more after this weekend.

And when I started using straights 5 years ago I had only one for about a year.

I have more now as I'm experimenting with different size blades and different grinds to see which I like and what works best for me, which has been a good thing as I now know I like a thicker grind on razor.

I did the same with out as much discipline. I have several I bought for comparison and some to learn on. Thinking I could eBay them later once I played and learned.
I learned I like em all and can't bring myself to sell em. Sure that will change in time, except for a few actual keepers. I know I like wider and heavier blades but I still enjoy the others too.
Except for 1 XLNT that I dislike a lot, and wouldnt sell or give away except out of spite.

I was on here a month or so before I even had one .. i couldn't decide between a DOVO or BOKER in stainless ,,I went to SRD bought the DOVO stainless , got home shaved uncomfortably and excitingly , then got online and saw the BOKER on sale and drove down the next day and bought that one ... then it was all down hill from there ..

Ouch, I would be a pauper if I lived any where near medina. I grew up in Ohio and bought my first straight there while visiting relatives. Found an excuse to go back before xmas last year and I'm sure I'll make it back some more this year.

I blame it on cudarunner and major they MADE me buy all of them went from this could be fun to my wife saying "Another one? Why you can only shave with one at a time, right?"
A few others can also share in the blame but I will be nice. lmao
