Thread: Anyone have just 1?

Just curious. Is there anyone here who has been wet shaving with a straight for a while (say > 6 months) and only own 1 or 2 razors?

You have got to be kidding. You can't have enough razors!

I would bet that there are loads of people who have just one, but I don't think it's likely they would frequent a hobby forum.

I got by with 2 for about 4 months...one vintage, one new, both honed by Lynn. Now have 11 and am still looking

Good point holli. I go all out on any hobby. I have more toys than I need of a few hobbies. It's my nature and the reason for my question. I could see a person enjoying the shave without building a collection of razors. I know many start off buying a razor to try it. Just wondering if anyone stops at I have what I need, instead of want.

I have only 2 after 1 year. One of good quality and another cheap one. And in the short term, I don't plan to buy any other. I must be a hero!!!!

Domi, is it your utilitarian nature or do you have a room full of Brushes, Soaps, after shaves or some other wet shaving paraphernalia?

I had only one for the first 6 years that I shaved with a straight, got a second one last christmas...a really really nice one that I would never have bought myself...and now I have 10 in all kinds of conditions, 5 of which I will shave with, the others i'm using to teach myself to restore...they will be PIF'd to friends who are interested in starting but dont have the means and maybe just need a little push
Honestly can't believe I only had for for so long

Well not been shaving for over 6 months with a str8 but only have one. May add one or two more by years end to throw in the rotation.
