Thanked: 3226Being OCD I do 4 passes every day all year, WTG, XTG, ATG and a final combination pass. I am with apipeguy in that any way that works for you is good enough, we are all different.

Wow - I'm glad you posted this - thanks!
I've been debating for sometime about becoming a daily shaver, and I've done it for a couple of days in a row as an experiment. My main issue with it has been, if I shave daily, then I was thinking it might just have to be a one pass, or two at most, which takes a lot of the joy out of it for me, I usually do 3 passes, but frequently will do 4 simply to clean up and for the love of it - why not?
So hearing that you do a complete shave everyday makes me think I wouldn't be nuts having a complete, enjoyable shave every day, it's so relaxing and such a great way to start the day - think I'll give it a try.

I shave every day.
Usually 2 & 1/2 passes ,don't try to get away with 1 pass as my beard grows along the skin & it grows quickly. So usually WTG & ATG & the 1/2 pass is just to tidy up the problem area around the chin.

Conventional Straight shaver every day that I'm not on the road and carrying on..
2 Pass+ - North to South, South to North - with WTG and XTG for the chin.. and a third pass on the left side of my neck for that double swirly patch...I call it the .25pass
Provides BBS or near BBS that keeps me presentable all day...

I'm a daily shaver with a fast growing fairly heavy beard.
I do 3 1/2 passes daily. WTG, XTG, ATG followed by a half pass that cleans up around the stash and goatee, and the lower neck and its hollows, where the beard grows just plain funky.
The bottom line is do what works for you!

Thanked: 6I am new to straights. My job requires that I be clean shaven. I also shave my head. I do a complete WTG, re lather and at least do a Atg on my head and usually the chin and continue on until I get bored with it.

Thanked: 28I shave everyday even Sundays now. I save the straight razor days for week ends and days off. I only do a with the grain on my left side pretty much. I am a newby at this so what more can I say. I then finish it with a DE shave.
On my work days I get up a hour early (3am) to get my shave in with my Merkur DE. I live for my shave and the women at work tease me about my clean shaving and smelling good. Any how I do a 3 pass shave. I just love the feeling of my face on my way to work in the morning. Hey we all have something in life we live for.

Thanked: 3215I do 2 WTG passes and 1 ATG and a water only cleanup at a magnified lighted mirror, every day. 15 minutes start to finish, cleaned up and everything put away.

When I shaved every day, a single WTG all over then ATG on my neck was enough. At the moment I only shave twice a week, so a full 3 pass is needed and enjoyed. After being pretty scratchy and stubbly for 3 or 4 days, that BBS shave feels even better! YMMV!!
