I'll throw my two cents in this thing , I don't shave blindfolded nor do I wish to, but I do about half my face by feel ,, I only have one eye so it's become my routine I got tired of trying to find a a way to see my face but when I got frustrated I started doing that side by feel mostly, with my van dyke I,m doing pretty good, no mishaps or blood Now. this seems like a ridiculous idea, the shaving itself might be ok, but getting the blade to and from your face, closing it, putting it down etc would be problematic.

I was actually more worried about this then the actual shave! I am pretty confident that the shave would be ok, but I would be afraid of hitting my razor on the faucet of sink trying to rinse the lather off the blade.

If i were to do this i would be at the kitchen sink, theres a higher counter behind it for me to set up a camera and the sink is very deep with a swivel head faucet. I mean i wont need to do this in the bathroom because i wont be using the mirror...

Blindfolded or not, I never rinse my blade. I wipe lather off into a wash cloth. It reduces both risk of dings and corrosion.

I have successfully used my forearm to strop the lather off of my blade for at least the last 18 months if not longer. I then just wash my arm and wipe off my razor on a towel to remove any remaining traces of lather between passes and at the end of my shave.
I can't remember having ever put any of my razors anywhere near running water, in fact any water except if I am honing, and even then my barber hone is used with lather.

didnt mean to strike up a debate. I would be using a cheap shavette thats why I'd rinse because I just dont care about it. However on a daily basis I wipe my blade on a towel while shaving and only rinse it off when I take it apart when I'm done...

I do rinse my blade while shaving.....
I leave the water running at a trickle and take care to only rinse the edge of the blade ....
I know everyone (almost) says do not do this.....
but that's one of the things I have not stoped doing yet.... though I should....
