    Unhappy ahem... BUMP

What happened here, guys? I neglect the forums for a month and my favorite subscribed thread falls apart. Would that be "frays"? Either way, what the hell? This one was going strong. We need more subject matter and more attention here, so I'm posting this completely off-topic cheerleader-y BS to bump it back to the top.

    Salud PCR,

    Adam

Been so busy last few weeks that I've neglected to post here. Shaved a young lady a couple of weeks ago, which was a most enjoyable experience for us both, concentrates both the minds wonderfully. When you say 'don't move' they really understand not to move

Used one of my wapi's and did find it a little awkward in places. I'm considering cutting one down and shortening it, then making up some new scales to create a real coochie shaver. Not quite sure the best way to go about this, I'm guessing using my dremel-clone with cut off disks and plenty of dips in water to stop it losing temper. Any other suggestions gratefully received.

cut the spine part first and then the bevel as the spine will take longer and build more heat the bevel should be no problem
take you time and make sure you know the direction of the disc is spinning. if you have it spin towards the edge it could grab and try to flip the razor over on your hand (bad stuff)

Actually L.R, when I cut Tiny Tim I started with the spine, progressing toward the edge, and that turned out to be a mistake, because when I got to the end & the blade was hanging together by a hair, it of course broke off, and I was fortunate that it broke off the right way (i.e. the scrap part had a bite out of it) but it could have gone the other way. I would say, make sure the last place you cut is somewhere you won't mind a little chip of missing steel.

Justin, I had pretty good results with a variable speed drill & Dremel cut-off wheel, but go slow, keep some water handy, & dunk the blade often to keep it cool. You must not use the Dremel at full speed. You need to turn the speed WAY down. Expect it to take 30-45 minutes.

    Lightbulb FYI

Just to let you know I am currently working on a "How to" when it comes to coochie shaves. It is written from the perspective of a partner shaving you with details of prep, what passes are made and in what direction, through to final after shave care.

I've been working on it for a few hours so far (with distractions) and hope to have it finished by this afternoon to pass on to the Mods for approval before final posting (wherever that may be).

A how to would be great - is it going into the wiki?
I have a few feather shaves done - It's not so difficult really.

I've done several now, I just apply the same ideas as regular wet shaving backed up with being really careful. Then again, I've been using a regular razor for this for about 20 years, So I guess I'm reasonably adept.

Will look forward to the how-to though, you never know when you might learn something useful.

Cheers Silver, I hope you and Squid are both doing well,

    Justin.

Man I have searched and searched and I cant find the damn video ...

But somewhere out there in cyberland is a japanese video of a cootchie shave. It was a utube type clip. It was not porn or crap it was a real deal video of a professional shave ... And the girl who was being shaved was calm and the girl shaving her was precise and defiantly knew what she was doing. No niks and clean shave... and I mean CLEAN ... I dont believe it was a short blade or altered blade either..

Pretty crazy to watch I can tell you that !

Nick I have no idea at this point if it will end up in the Wiki or not. If it is approved for the Wiki then that is my competition entry.

Hi J, yes Squid and I are both fine. I can feel Squid moving around now though which makes me feel a little queasy. Guess I will get used to it.

Well really Ron! With 2 teeneagers at my friends house and using one PC, add to that the nature of the artical and I eventually lost my train of though with the pair of them coming in and out of the room constantly.

Now that is a shame! Sounds like it would have been a good link for everyone.
