Mythbusters should also be taken with a grain of salt.

I could build a plane that won't fly but doesn't mean flying is impossible.
They're probably just as qualified to build pyramids.

Day 2 Shave: Yesterday's shave was good but the BBS didn't last as long as I get from my other razors. This has answered my first question, "Has 96 hours under the pyramid improved the razor?" My conclusion is no, the razor is basically the same as before. Today's shave was OK, but I feel a little stubble in some spots. My expectation is that the shave will degrade over the rest of the week and, if that happens, I will pull the plug on this experiment.

    Dear Mr Kidney,
I've seen many of your helpful forum hints, and I know it's your nature to be willing to assist others as best you can. Well, THAT post of yours is gonna help me out, and here's why. I'd been hesitant to start using a straight because I'd have to learn that honing and stropping crap. No, I never actually looked at what was involved, but I did some reading about those things. I always figured it would be extremely difficult, judging by all the whining that goes on here. Man...............was I wrong!!!
Your razor sharpening video is the first I've actually seen (that is you in the picture isn't it?), and it was a real eye opener. That short movie makes everything seem clear and easy, and I'm excited to buy my own brick and try that out soon. Yeah, I have 4-5 straights that are in nice shape, but need some touching up, and that technique looks like something I can do! Yeah, those techniques are similar to the way I sharpen my 'work' knife on the extra coarse grit sandpaper, although I use buttermilk for a little extra 'slip'. Did I mention I'm a part time moil?
Anyway, none of the razors are worth more than $200-300 each, so I don't mind practicing on a few till I get it right.
Thank you once again for helping, and I'll let you know how that goes for me.

Oh........hehe, kind of a silly question..........
When I do that HHT thingy..........are there some movies you can include to show how that's done? Can't figure out if I hold the hare by the ears or back legs. Or.........do I make a tiny hangman's noose for the poor thing's neck?
    Thank you again

I hear that sleeping with your head under a pyramid will make you sharp as a razor. You should try it Spike and let us know how it goes.

FYI: I prefer to bounce mine off a wall or tree a few times before I do the HHT, that way when you DO hang it (I like using the ears), it doesn't squirm around so much. Thus giving you a more accurate test.

I am very well preserved for 236. I quite clearly remember telling George that not fibbing about the tree would end badly

nun2sharp - sleeping with a pyramid doesn't help. I tried it, but my wife says I am just as dull as ever.
