Definately don't shave with a hangover. I did it the other day. Bad results.

Don't chew gum. Or at least don't switch the gum you're chewing from one side of your mouth to the other while the razor is in contact with your face. Only razor cut I've ever had that left a scar...

Don't zone out and lose concentration. I had rinsed and re-lathered and was on my second pass. Reaching over by head with my left hand, as I normally do, to pull up on my sideburn area stretching my whole right cheek area.

I was thinking about something else and didn't coordinate my right hand with my left. I had laid the edge of the razor on my cheek with slight pressure before I stretched rather then after. Wasn't a bad nick but the sting got my attention.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Never leave your cat in the bathroom with you that likes to bite your feet and lick the water off your legs when you are at the trickiest parts of the pass.

I always do "better" with a drink or two - because I'm more relaxed . Much more than that would be a no-no and certainly not the day after more than a few drinks!

I was going to say just that! My cat did that when he was a kitten... he never did that again! I kicked him out and closed the door... he learned his lesson. Now he just stands on the sink and watches the water go down the drain...

I posted a thread a few weeks ago about having shaved after spending the morning drinking a BIG pot of coffee. Everything was fine until I tried to go ATG on the chin. No blood, but I was shaking so bad that I had to use both hands and lean against the wall to finish. I was lucky I didn't cut my nose off.

    Cool Bad Mood Shaving

Never shave if in a Bad Mood ( if possible). It is a gamble. If the shave goes bad then the mood evolves: Bad Mood---Bad Attitude---Depression! A GOOD shave; however, will wipe out that bad mood.

As of late I have maintained a Grade C+ Bad Mood. Economy, politics, etc., no rain, probably are to blame...

I do plan the shave carefully and keep all the stuff in proper order for sure now.
