Thread: What size razor do you like?

All the razors I have are 6/8 or less, and the shavers are all 5/8 which I enjoy very much.
Visually I find wider blades very appealing, but other than the "I like the way they look" I can't say whether I like them or not.

I'm kind of with Marcos. I find the 6/8 to be some of the prettier blades, but if I had to grab just one blade, no price, it would probably be a 5/8.
the 11/16 is only 1/16 wider than the 5/8 and a little work on an 80 grit stone would certainly get it down to 5/8!! LOL~~ Vern ~~
I was born with nothing and managed to keep most of it.

I have razors ranging from 4/8 all the way thru to 10/8.
I use all of them, but if I had to select one favorite blade width, I think I would go for 7/8 or 8/8.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 993My little collection varies from 4/8 to 7/8.
My 7/8 Wacker is just a superb shave, but so is my 4/8 Wosty...and my 5/8 Shumate Barber.
Each morning I select a different razor, and I like them all. For me, it's more about sharp and smooth than it is about size.

in my little experience not the size but how they shave important.
I had W&B 9/8 size and shaved like a nothing touches your face.
I have 6/8 TI old one will never stop using it.
hope this helps.

I have a Dovo Micartis SS 5/8 and a Dovo 6/8 bismark. The 5/8 seems to be easier to control under the nose, but for some reason, the 6/8 bismark has a better "feel". Could be SS vs carbon steel as both are full hollow ground. Overall, I love them both and am glad to have options every AM.
