    Since picking up straights, I am addicted to shaving and look forward to it but I agree with OP, the shave is better and smoother when I have 3-4 days growth, so thats how long I usually wait in between shaves.

    Mostly when I give my self a decent STr8 razor shave, it takes at least 1 and a half day's to get a good bit of beard back, somtimes I wait 3 day's before another shave, feel so much better after a few day's growth.
