I'd just get rid of it. I find I shave better with heavier grind razors also. It just depends on how many times you are willing to get cut. With time I am sure you will adjust your technique to the razor, why not just find another similar razor to the two you have that you are happy with. -Scott

I had two beautiful vintage king cutters. 5/8 square and 6/8 round. Sold both of them as they always seemed to bite me on my jaw line.

I had a Henckels 7/8 that drew blood on every shave for 6 months. I tried everything including honing it, sending it out to be honed and lastly muting the square point. A couple weeks ago, I decided to sell my Vampire. Because it had the original scales and they were a bit worn, I decided to make some horn scales to get a little more money on eBay. The scales came out beautiful and I figured I'd give the razor one last try.

It's been 4 shaves since and no blood. I don't know if, in my hand, I needed a weightier set of scales or if this is psychological, but it worked.

I feel some full hollow can benefit for a little heavier scales to cut down on the vibrations.
