This is one of the others I'm looking forward to coming north.

Broken scale tip so new skins will be in order, but I am hopeful I can reset the inlay from the Bakelite? I presume original. My laser will work for the new recess, but removing the inlay from the Bakelite may be a concern. Not sure acetone will dissolve it..
Will add it to the butchered blade thread when it arrives for help from da gang..

I would ask on the restoration forum about removing that inlay intact. I'm certain there are a few here who have done that many times.

No worries, Mike. That ain't Bakelite, I am fairly certain.

I just stated that because I have not ever seen a Bakelite scale with an inlay.....
NOR a Puma with factory Bakelite scales! ever...

Probably right. The two processes may have been from different times.
Hope it's just good ole plastic. Never held a puma to know. There's enough original scale left I'm going for an exact copy, no scale shape freestylin on this one..
