Nice bit of shopping.
I'm glad that you had a pleasant time with your new Debit Card.
Yesterday I called and told my bank that my current debit card was starting to crack and I'd need a new one so they ordered one for me and said it would be here in 4-5 days.
Two hours later I went to the grocery store and picked up $6 worth of food. My card wouldn't work. I'd spent 36+ years in retail grocery so I told the checker to call customer service and transfer the transaction to the service booth.
After 15 minutes of trying everything that the clerk and I could think of it dawned on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The F'ing Bank had canceled my current card!!
I had the groceries put aside and drove the short distance home and called the bank.
When the young lady said that it was 'current policy' to cancel a card when a new one was ordered. I went Ballistic! I told the clerk that this 'minor' fact hadn't been policy in the past and that I was Never Told Of This Change!
It went downhill from there.
I don't think that they like me anymore!!! However my card was re-activated and wont' be deactivated UNTIL I TELL THEM TO DEACTIVATE IT!!!!!!
Happy Shopping! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 104Finally pulled the trigger on the Japanese natural stones. I bought an Ozuku asagi 3lb 10 oz. 212 x 78 x 28 (of course not totally uniform. But looks to be a great stone shape wise). I looked around for a long time and compared vendors.
i went with a stone from Takeshi of Aframestokyo whose opinion i respect. He test honed a razor on the stone twice and was able to give me his positive view on it as a great stone for razors . Im expecting it in about 10 days.

Scored a Paladin brush before they pretty much sold out in minutes. Went with an ivory Chief that matches my other brushes and has a 28mm knot / 52mm loft. Guessing it'll be here early next week...haven't had any luck with adding one of Ken's brushes to my den until today.
