    Yes...I live in a '59 model house. Only things grounded are the stuff in the utility room and a few plugs for the old window units of the past.
    I understand it's still not grounded just makes plugging things in. I'm going to re wire the place when $ allows.

    If you use a GFCI plug and can fish a single wire down the wall and ground it to the old-house pipe, you will have all the protection you need.
    Surprisingly, I have found old copper wire has shown to be quite enduring.
    It's those renovations and 'upgrades' that seem to cause problems.
