    Nice box Austin.

I can’t wait to see what it turns out to look like Mike. I keep waiting for those posts in the brush makers alcove.

Has some awesome subtle figuring going on in them.
    Never turned madrone before..
The rest is box elder burl, mulberry for a wedding gift attempt, and the rough log is sumac.
Sumac is sure a pretty wood. I have some boards I made years ago in my garage and wanted to make some scales out of it. But unless it was stabilized I don't think it is hard enough.

I will use it for something someday....

If it works 1/2 as well as my 'Smoke' thermometer from 'ThermaWorks' with two leads you are in for a real treat.

I don't know about your Inkbird, but the Smoke comes with a remote so you don't have to walk out and see what's going on.

If only I'd have had my Smoke 30 years ago, things would have been so much easier, accurate and less of a Pain In the Arse!

Roy the one in the pic with the leads coming out is the transmitter and the big display is the receiver. Meant to be 1000ft range and think 60hrs use on 1 recharge. Lots of settings to play with too.

But some lovely pieces. And on the far right my first hunk of lignum vitae to try turning. Heavy dense stuff that..
    Cheers.
If it’s the store in Burlington, ON, I’ve been driving by it for years. Did you happen to notice if they had thin blanks for scales?

A "new to me" Solingen SR is on the way, after much confusion on my part as to whether my order made it through or not. Can't wait for mail call.
