They showed up ...just in time....Vintage ..restored Beaver Dam ice fishing tip -ups. Going on the hard water this weekend for Brook Trout.

I received the Joseph Allen today. it says on the blade medium grind also and it measures 6/8 also. to clean it up took almost no time at all but I did have to repin the blade. After the clean up I oiled and used rig on the blade and wraped in wax paper. I had a empty coffin to store it in so in the safe it went. i'm going to wait until april and Memphis to hone. hope to learn new techniques. all I have in the mail now is a wostenholm and I won a Sheffield brand with bone scales today. I think this will wind me up for at least month or so. or until the wife forgets about these.

I got the wostenholm today and it cleaned up real good. I had a pair of scales so I'm just waiting on honing now. I have a razor on the way now that's name is Sheffield. it has bone scales. I may have bitten off more than I can chew on this one. anyway i'll have fun with it.

Well my girl friend bought me a dovo 6/8 and supplies for christmas and it has snow balled from there. I have bought some vintage and some new dovo, boker, and others. Right now I have 3 soaps from Momma Bear, dragons blood, spellbound, Ylang Ylang, a wool strop from srd, cella creme, d.r. harris, and tabac shave soap. Does it ever stop?
