Speaking of receiving great items from good friends... I was all smiles to find one of Tom's Tripoli Barber Supply Co. Boar Hide strops in the mail yesterday. Boy-oh-boy this is a nice strop, he really worked it into fine shape. I used it for the first time today and it was perfect, just the right amount of draw and a great fabric piece with it. He's got his hanger hardware that he designed and crafted on there too! This is one of those shaving items that means the most to me, has the personal touch/work of a friend and that can't be beat. And to Tom, a very big and heartfelt "thank you" my friend.

Interesting thread...
Coming in the mail: a NOS restored kamisori from Japan, a straight razor from Germany (Solingen), a restored W&B straight razor from Rhode Island, a custom straight from Austria, a few ADs from China, and a couple of razor cases from Hawaii... And my sanity is gone along with my savings
